Acclimate puppy (20 mins)

Ich schneide das Gesicht frei, Bürste ihn ein wenig. Außerdem zeige ich dem Hund die Geräusche und gebe Ihnen Pflegetipps an die Hand. Dieses erste Training ist für die zukünftigen Besuche wichtig, damit diese stressfrei für den Hund sind. Dieser Termin dauert 20 Minuten.

Damit der Hund gerne zum Hundefriseur geht, kommen Sie am besten in der dritten Woche, die der Welpe bei Ihnen ist. Da die Hunde sich in dem Alter in der sogenannten Prägephase befinden.  Sie können aber auch jederzeit gerne vorher schon zu einem Schnuppertermin vorbeischauen und den Salon und mich kennenlernen. Ich empfehle Ihnen diesen Termin alle 2 Wochen für 4 Wochen zu buchen, um Ihren Welpen an das frisieren zu gewöhnen.

Hand Stripping

Many hounds are hand stripped. Here at iikō stripping is done by hand. On average dogs are stripped every 12 weeks. But every dog is special: If the dog begins to look more fuzzy, is losing hair and scratches itself often - then it is time to remove the old hair.

Trimmen von Jagdhunden. Viele Jagdhunde werden getrimmt, aber auch Mischlinge. Getrimmt wird bei iikō mit der Hand. Im Schnitt werden Hunde alle 12 Wochen getrimmt. Aber auch hier gilt, jeder Hund ist individuell: Wird sein Aussehen zotteliger, beginnt er vermehrt Haare zu verlieren, kratzt er sich häufiger – dann ist der Zeitpunkt gekommen, das alte Haar zu entfernen.

Brush

I use special tools that remove excess undercoat. With the help of specific shampoos the loose fur softens and the dog feels light and well again. This treatment is especially recommended during moulting. You will have less hair on your sofa and the dog can better regulate their body temperature.

Professionelle Fellpflege beugt Verfilzungen zwar Fells vor, aber Verfilzungen führen zu Unwohlsein und Bewegungseinschränkungen des Hundes, im schlimmsten Fall zu Hautirritationen und Entzündungen.

Bei einer kompletten Verfilzung empfehlen wir eine schmerzfreie komplett Rasur. Hier wird unter dem Filz angesetzt und rasiert, damit die Haut wieder atmen und regenerieren kann.

Every dog gets two washes matching the fur type. After that I gently rub in a complementary care product so that knots are disentangled and the skin does not dehydrate.

You can add cutting claws to the treatment. But we can also do a separate appointment so that you don't have to go to the vet.

In regards to your dog's well-being no treatment is longer than 2.5 hours (except Spa Treatment). Should we not finish in time it is recommended to make a follow-up appointment.
